cycling bus stops . LONDON
Izaskun Chinchilla Architects
During the last week we have been producing the prototypes for 'cycling bus stops'.
We are working with recycled materials such as kite surf kites (thanks Javier Peña for your donation).
These very light textiles pieces are fast obsolete after some uses since any damage do not allow them to be inflated. The 'cycling bus stops' can be easily transported by 2 people both biking and rolling. The estructure is composed of superlight glass fiber. We have reused baby trailers and fabricate two strollers able to carry the whole structure.
We have use recycle wood boards cutted by cnc to assemble pieces together. CNC technology allow us a transformable design by adding wholes for joining elements in different possitions. The structure can transform its width from 2.4m to 5.20m and from trailer to grand strand... we will let you know much more soon!!.
