Massimo Bartolini

Untitled (Wave) . 1997–2012

The wave laps over the sides of the pool onto soil and waters the edible plants that surround it. This work was first seen in the gardens of Villa Medici in Rome in summer 2000. Bartolini was born in 1962 in Cecina near Florence. His work embraces various materials and techniques, from sculpture and performance to photography.
