The competition aimed restoration and extension of “ Gabroveni INN” - a historical ruin located in the middle of Bucharest / Historical Center ( BUCHAREST,Lipscani Street 84-86) and turning it into a cultural center.

Concept _Urban wounded tissue transplantation needs to be developed. Historical evoluation of the plotting a specific tissue type,defined by a certain ratio between the volumes, the size ofstreets, internal gangways and irregular height growth.
We have proposed restoring the essential characteristics of plotting the takeover of its typology.Wound healing and tissue transplantation urban tracks.

Pedestrian space_To highlight the existing pedestrian passage in construction with historic character we chose to transform it into the main space in all in all proposed new pedestrian access . The proposed new extension is developed around a series of courtyards connected with the passage of the Gabroveni Inn space. All public areas are accessible from this level ofinterconnected pedestrian space.

Restoration of the existing building_Restoring volume proposes unification monument built using ceramic vessel method by filling the existing gaps and marking a distinct material.
