Platform is the horizontal counterpart to the Prime Tower. The seven-storey commercial building adjacent to the railway track is designed with a triangular ground plan occupying an area of 6,600 square metres. The centre of the building is formed by a spacious atrium with light streaming in from above. The ground floor is intended to house public facilities such as shops, a restaurant, cafeteria and an auditorium plus the logistics area for deliveries. Platform's office zone of the Platform has already been leased; the consulting firm, Ernst & Young, will be establishing its base in Zurich with a workforce of around 1,000. Construction began in early 2009 and should be completed in spring 2011.
