A small studio space for 2 architects, a landscape architect and a meeting area.

The form of the building was composed to maximise views in relation to required program. The architects face out into the orchard.
The landscape architect faces directly into a small landscaped courtyard. Where the form is sold it blocks out car parks and back of shed areas. The full height entry door opens to form an informal threshold between meeting and work areas.
Recycled old corrugated iron was literally collected from the paddocks surrounding the project siteand composed as a facade treatment in contrast with a ‘thin’ glazing system to create a minimal thresholdbetween desks and the orchard.
Internally raw plywood floors and ceilings contrast against white walls. All joinery is custom designed, laser-cut layered plywood with burnt black expressed edges. Joinery is carved out and continuous in form to create work station desks, benches and a cantilevered model display bench.
A series of layered plywood boxes are ‘tucked’ into wall cavities between studs to form book & folder storage.
