The building its totally new built, apart from the main façade that was preserved, allowing for the street to maintain its existing character. Its interior is characterized by generous spaces that open to the back patio. Its construction system is very traditional, in-situ concrete structure, brick on the walls, ceilings in apparent concrete and pavements made of in-situ concrete.
Its spatial structure is marked by two distinct areas, both in terms of function and character.

The Pushed Slab is located between two completely different urban grids: the dense city fabric of blocks and streets in the North and the loose urban fabric in the south with its clear defined and straightforward infrastructure. The design is based on the requested office program and the energy requirements. The project combines proven energy efficiency technologies with individualised office floor plans and outside spaces such as patios, balconies and a garden. The building is highly flexible offering three cores and a central lobby; it can be rented out to one or various tenants without structural changes being required.

The site is located in a small coastal village, adjacent to a beautiful, protected dune reserve. An old dwelling, previously located on the terrain, was demolished and replaced by a new, larger and more energy efficient dwelling that is partly based on the former’s foundations.
The new dwelling consists of four one-story volumes: three connected volumes contain all living spaces and a fourth, separate volume houses a garage for three cars.

A construction like an imposed figure, the reflection of constrained urban calibres, but knowing how to find its own specificity thanks to the treatment of the frontages and the arrangement of the housing.
With an average of five flats by level for only one stairwell, we took the stand of compacity and then decided to homothetically reduce the envelope capacity of the frame in order to liberate the maximum exterior spaces. Therefore, we define a terrace or a balcony for each housing, delimited by metal skin randomly perforated, like a permeable envelop with different points of view.

The building is situated on a hill above dornbirn, austria. the site, which is protected on the uphill side by a small forest, provides an astonishing view over the rhine delta and Lake constance.
In 2012 the house, with an area of 85 m², became too small for its four inhabitants and had to be expanded fundamentally.

Developed as a gift of open space for the people of New Canaan and a platform for initiatives in the non-profit Foundation’s program areas, Grace Farms features a purpose-built 86,000 of multi-use building by the Pritzker Prize-winning firm SANAA, designed to blend almost transparently into woodlands, wetlands and meadows with a landscape design by SANAA in collaboration with OLIN.

The theme of the project is accessible justice. This is an unostentatious public building within the urban fabric. We opted for modest, elegant exterior architecture, preferring a facing in brick, a timeless material which becomes more attractive with age. This choice also enables the building to blend in with its immediate surroundings. The treatment of the entrance, worked as a lateral hollow on the main façade, constitutes a break with the traditional symmetrical composition of court buildings. From the outside, this entrance – on a single level – is on a modest scale.

It is both strange and somehow stimulating to combine a police headquarters and a dance company on the same site.
Urban districts move, cities change, we are in an era of transformation. In Charleroi we have built a new police headquarters and extended the Charleroi Danses buildings. These transformations were an opportunity to create a new urban space that can be reached from the street and that we wanted to be active and bustling. This is why a large brasserie was created at its heart, a place where users of the site and its neighbours can meet.

A rounded footprint shapes a building with only front facades, no back sides, which will help to firmly anchor the new museum in its context. It is organized so that covered terraces for entrances, restaurant and art activities open up and activate all sides.
