A Mount-Rushmore-Resembling Piece of Cheddar Cheese Melted to a Perfectly Flat Squared Slice . 2012

At 1646, Daniel continues to explore his interest in amorphous or unrecognizable shapes and how these can serve as containers for a whole set of projections and guesswork. His solo show A Mount-Rushmore-Resembling Piece of Cheddar Cheese Melted to a Perfectly Flat Squared Slice is developed around a series of apparently trivial peers... Apart from an attempt at bringing up their symbolisms for discussion, there’s also a more ingenious will to explore the sculptural possibilities of such elements. Both how forms are loaded with meaning and how meanings are loaded with form are equally relevant questions to this project.
