'The endless column' introduces an alternative dwelling unit which finds its inspiration in the typical dutch row house as a clear-cut realisation of a private ideal of dwelling.

When combined and stacked the diamant-shape unit with its central construction scheme introduces a rich vertical urban tissue that with its combination of high density and generous margins gradually leads from the private towards the urban public sphere.
