Vallarta Towers . Puerto Vallarta

JDS Architects

The lush vegetation, almost jungle like of the site and the idea that each apartment should benefit from a “garden” by the sea, based on the mexican typology of a house around the patio (barragan) made us try to generate a series of vertical platforms that grow from the ground up to create some sort of pyramid shaped towers to blend with the site.
The platforms give order to the public activities in the common areas, creating a pixelated rational grid of gardens, sundecks, pools and other amenities. All the apartments have different openings and terraces, making them unique with their own individual views to the sea and mountains, to create a living space that is neither outside nor enclosed… Palm tree covered patios  are made in order to enjoy the tropical weather of Puerto Vallarta.
