The concept for the first Velvet fashion store, located in Brentwood, Los Angeles, aims to create a neutral and minimal architectural space.

The existing open space is occupied by smaller plywood volumes, varied in size, that accommodate the different programs that require privacy. A six foot high datum line defines the new from the old: everything below is rendered in white, everything above is left as found. The exterior of the store is treated in a unifying black and white color scheme, bringing a visionary trend to a traditional A-frame style building.
