The formation of the “Cluster Sport International” and the creation of its physical seat embody the joint ambition of the Canton of Vaud and the City of Lausanne to strengthen the city’s role as an international base for athletic institutions and is a significant step towards promoting sports education and research.
Located along the shores of Lake Geneva, just up the road from the EPFL Rolex Learning Center, the new building will serve as a gateway to the University of Lausanne campus. The project unites four athletic institutions in over 7’000m2 of office space, research facilities, as well as common programs such as a 200-person auditorium, café, seminar rooms, and study areas.
