In 2010 a German advertising agency approached me to design them a low cost workplace in the Black Forest. They had set their mind to using shipping containers so using that as a starting point we evolved this space for them.

The upper containers trace the sun’s path through the sky while the lower containers provide an array of quiet working spaces that all open onto the central heart of the office.
At the time we spoke to Gardiner & Theobald in Berlin. They had just finished working on a steel building and new the perfect metal fabricators in Hamburg to approach; they new who to buy shipping containers off in Rotterdam.
Sadly though the start-up ad agency stopped before it started and the project never made it out of the computer.
