Slow Food Pavilion . Milan

Herzog & de Meuron . + Slow Food

Made entirely of wood and with its recognizable snail logo adorning the exterior, the Slow Food Pavilion welcomes visitors near the East – Roserio entrance, at the Milano Expo. The space consists of three welcoming, wooden shed-like structures which house the following: a theater for meetings and cultural events, an exhibition entirely focused on Biodiversity, an area dedicated to wine and food tasting and a space for agricultural products and dishes that are protected by the Slow Food Presidia network. The center of the pavilion opens onto Biodiversity Piazza, a restful oasis surrounded by the scents of rare varieties of fruits and vegetables, that will become the basis for creations by Slow Food chefs.
